The Ask
- Post at least one piece of content between now and Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. More is amazing. Earlier is better, because early voting ends this weekend.
- Pick any issue below (or more than one). Pick the one you actually care about. Your audience can tell.
- Your voice, your way. No approvals, no edits, no scripts to read. Use the facts here and make it sound like you.

Why This Matters
The governor's race between Byron Donalds (R) and David Jolly (D) is close. Recent public polls range from a small Donalds lead to a small Jolly lead, mostly within a few points. The University of North Florida poll (Oct 12โ19) has the race statistically tied: Donalds 49%, Jolly 47%, inside the poll's ยฑ2.8-point margin of error. Jolly leads independents by 16 points. The New York Times/Siena poll released Oct 28 has a 4-point gap. In a race this close, who shows up decides it, and young voters, Black voters and Latino voters are the groups most likely to sit it out if nobody talks to them. You talk to them every day.
Turnout is neck and neck, and Democrats are slipping behind. As of Oct 28, about 3.5 million Floridians had voted. Republicans had cast 1,414,481 ballots and Democrats 1,379,826, a GOP edge of about 35,000. That gap grew from about 9,000 just two days earlier. Democrats lead in mail ballots, but Republicans are out-voting them at early voting sites. We need more Democrats and Dem-leaning independents to show up this weekend.
One stat worth knowing: in the NBC6/Telemundo Mason-Dixon poll, Black voters backed Jolly 76% to 10%, while Hispanic voters were nearly split, 48% Donalds to 43% Jolly. Latino turnout and persuasion are wide open.
Pick Your Issue
1. The governor's race (Donalds vs. Jolly)
2. No on Amendment 3
3. Turnout, turnout, turnout
Any issue below helps one of these three. If you're not sure where to start, start here.
Each issue has the core point, the receipts (with sources so you can link or screenshot them), and one sample line. Say it your way.
1. Vote NO on Amendment 3
Amendment 3 is sold as a property-tax cut, but it pulls billions out of the local budgets that pay for police, firefighters, EMS, parks and libraries, and it does nothing for renters.
- The Legislature's own Revenue Estimating Conference estimates it would cut property-tax revenue by about $11.8 billion a year.
- It gives no special relief to renters. Local governments may raise rates on less-protected property, which can include rental units.
- The Florida Sheriffs Association, the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police, Florida Professional Firefighters and the Florida Fire Chiefs Association all oppose it.
- The Yes side got $18 million from one source, Florida Realtors. The No committees raised about $680,000 combined, roughly 26 to 1.
- It needs 60% to pass. A UNF poll released Oct 21 had it at 50%. Every No vote counts.
2. Immigration and keeping Floridians safe
Donalds has promised to go even further than the current crackdown. Families with legal protections, and the local officials who serve them, are in his sights.
- He rejects any pathway to legal status for undocumented immigrants, and he voted for the $70 billion ICE and Border Patrol package. (N+ Univision interview)
- In Doral he said people whose TPS expires will be deported. (La Naciรณn)
- He called Florida's crackdown โmission accomplishedโ and defended โAlligator Alcatraz.โ (WPTV)
- He said due process is โa privilege reserved for American citizens.โ The Constitution says it applies to โany person.โ (Florida Politics)
- He says he would remove local officials who won't cooperate with ICE. (Miami Herald)
3. Health care
Donalds wants to scrap the Affordable Care Act and backed the federal cuts to Medicaid and food assistance.
- In his words: โObamacare needs to go away.โ (Fox News Radio)
- He voted for and defended the 2025 federal budget bill's Medicaid and SNAP changes, and said of Medicaid reductions, โI don't consider that a cut.โ (ABC News; The Floridian)
4. Corruption and accountability
Donalds preached accountability on stock trading, then didn't follow the rules himself.
- A nonpartisan watchdog, Campaign Legal Center, filed an ethics complaint saying he and his wife made over 100 stock trades worth up to $1.6 million in 2022โ2023 without filing the required disclosures under the STOCK Act.
- In 2022 he publicly called lawmakers who broke that law โdisgraceful.โ
5. AI data centers
Data centers use huge amounts of water and power, and AI money is backing Donalds.
- Donalds has received dozens of contributions from AI interests, including companies trying to build hyperscale data centers in Florida, as Politico reported. (Florida Phoenix)
- He opposes a statewide pause on data-center construction. (FOX 13)
- Nineteen Florida local governments have already paused or banned data centers. (Florida Phoenix)
6. Just vote: young, Black, Latino and Indigenous voters decide this
No issue needed. The message is simple: this race is close, and we decide it if we show up. Give people a plan.
- Election Day is Tuesday, Nov 3, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Election Day you must vote at your assigned precinct.
- Early voting runs through at least Saturday, Oct 31, and many counties go through Sunday, Nov 1. You can vote at any early voting site in your county.
- Still have a mail ballot? It's too late to trust the mail. It must be received by 7 p.m. on Nov 3. Drop it at an early voting site during early voting, or at your Supervisor of Elections office. You can't drop it at your polling place on Election Day.
